Arktos - bearfolk of the northern wilds [10 RP]
Descendants of a legendary bear, the Arktos have been blessed by the elemental gods. Their strength and endurance are legendary among those of their northern home.
They treat wild bears with respect. Some clans even have bears living among them. Arktos tend toward neutrality. Many are true neutral, but those who aren't generally keep an axis of neutrality (ie NG, LN, etc). Arktos take easily to the martial classes and divine or spontaneous spellcasting. Barbarians, shaman, rangers, druids, and clerics are common. With fighter, monk, and sorcerer being less common. Arktos bards are usually the talekeepers of their clan. Those who are faithful believe that when an Arktos dies, their spirit goes to the elemental plane of the god they are bound to. There the spirit transforms into an elemental.
